Why East Rand homes get cockroaches and ants
The East Rand's hot, wet summers are ideal for cockroaches. German cockroaches breed fast in warm kitchens and behind appliances, while larger American cockroaches come up from drains, sewers and stormwater systems, especially after heavy rain. Townhouse complexes, older homes and busy family kitchens all give them places to hide. We treat cracks, crevices, under appliances, behind units and around drains, the places roaches actually live, not just where you saw them.

How we treat
- 1. Inspect: we find nests, hiding spots and entry points inside and outside.
- 2. Spray: professional targeted spraying where pests live, travel and breed.
- 3. Advise: practical steps to keep pests from coming back.
Pet and family safe: keep cats, dogs and children out of treated areas until dry, usually about an hour.
Tips for East Rand homeowners
- Don't leave dishes or pet food out overnight. Cockroaches feed at night while the house is quiet.
- Keep drain covers in place and pour hot water down little-used drains to discourage roaches.
- Seeing roaches during the day often means a large population. Call us early.
